Our veterinary practice has been looking after pets for over 20 years and now, following a recent expansion, we are looking for more people to join us at our clinic located in beautiful Port Stephens in New South Wales, Australia.

Salamander Bay Veterinary Clinic is looking for a veterinarian to fill an upcoming full-time position, with no after-hours, at our practice.
The current veterinarians are all experienced practitioners. There are six vets in the practice, approximately 4 full-time equivalent, 2 part-time. We have experienced and qualified nursing staff and a friendly and professional working environment.
Our modern clinic is well-equipped with digital (DR) radiology facilities, ultrasound, ECG, two endoscopes, video otoscope, Tonovet, orthopaedic equipment including bone plating kit, pulse oximeters, IV fluid pumps, in-house IDEXX lab equipment, and IM3 dental equipment. A brand-new extension to the clinic has just been completed to allow for a second operating theatre and prep room.
We enjoy a coastal lifestyle only a short drive to Newcastle and within easy reach of Sydney.
A very generous remuneration package is offered plus one week paid conference leave with conference fees paid.

Salamander Bay Veterinary Clinic is looking to include a new graduate veterinarian in our practice. No after-hours work is required.
Port Stephens is home to many beautiful beachside suburbs and offers endless watersports, and stunning bushwalking, while only a short drive to the City of Newcastle. Sydney is within easy driving distance.

Salamander Bay Veterinary Clinic is an accredited sponsor and welcomes veterinarians from all over the world. We offer a four-day work week with no after-hours.
Veterinarians from the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa are all directly registerable to work in NSW.
Veterinarians from USA, Canada, West Indies, France, Mexico, the Netherlands and South Korea are registerable after passing the NAVLE exam.
Veterinarians from other countries may need to complete the AVE (Australian Veterinary Exam Certificate) and an English proficiency exam.
